Singer Linda Ronstadt says she has Parkinson's disease
"TORONTO (AP) — Toronto's larger-than-life mayor took down wrestling star Hulk Hogan in a friendly arm-wrestling match Friday to kick off an annual pop culture convention.
The 14-time world wrestling champion, in a T-shirt and his trademark bandanna, entered the room to applause and his old wrestling theme music, while Mayor Rob Ford strutted in to "Eye of the Tiger." Ford ripped off his jacket and tie, untucked his dress shirt and rolled up his sleeves.
"Big man, oh, that's all you got?" Hogan asked Ford, who weighs in at 307 pounds as the pair locked hands.
"Not only am I going to rip this arm off, I'm going to take your job while I'm at it, brother. Mayor Hogan," he added.
A sweating Ford seemed to struggle at first. But after 20 some seconds of trash talk and stalemate, he slammed Hogan's arm down.
"I own this town!" Ford said.
Hogan grimaced. "That was a setup," he said, without a hint of irony.
"The only reason he beat me is because he's younger," the 60-year-old Hogan said of the 44-year-old mayor, whom he nicknamed "Fantastic Ford."
"It was like wrestling a friggin' grizzly bear," Ford said of the 302-pound wrestler.
The event took place at Fan Expo Canada, a convention celebrating diverse pop culture genres.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was in Toronto for an "uncensored" question-and-answer session at the expo.
Ford most recently made world news over allegations that he appeared in a video smoking crack cocaine. The video has not been released publicly.
When asked if he thought the alleged video of the mayor was real, Hogan responded, "I'm hungry."
Ford said Hogan has been his hero since he was a "little guy." He tweeted after the match, "I own this town @HulkHogan! Thanks for being such a great sport."
The wrestler also took to Twitter: "Just arm wrestled Mayor Ford from Toronto, had a great time brother."

Rumer Willis Takes the Stage As Demi Moore Looks On
"Apparently, Rumer Willis is a triple threat.
As her mom, Demi Moore, looked on, the 25-year-old actress sang, sashayed, and full-out danced in her debut turn as Juliet in "For The Record: Baz Luhrmann," a cabaret-style reimagining of four of the director's most famous works.
On Thursday night, the Rockwell Table and Stage show in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake, opened to a packed house, including the likes of Moore, former "The New Normal" stars Jayson Blair (also Willis's boyfriend) and Goldie Clemmons, and "Nashville" actor Jay Hernandez. And while Rumer, who starred alongside Jackie Seiden ("Jack and Jill"), Derek Ferguson ("Smash"), Ginifer King ("The Haunted Hathaways"), and Blood Sweat and Tears frontman Jason Paige seemed just a wee bit nervous, she eventually found her groove while belting soulful solos like "#1 Crush" and "Crazy In Love."
"This is a totally different experience than [performing on stage]," the famous progeny of Moore and Bruce Willis, who regularly sings at L.A.'s Sayers Club, told omg! of the interactive show. "This is singing, acting, dancing all at the same time. When you're on stage and people are watching, there's almost kind of a separation, but in this, you're dancing or singing right up next to crowd members or trying to walk in between the tables to try and get where you're going, so it's really cool. It's definitely a little bit nerve wracking, but I'm very excited."
One thing Willis said she wasn't too nervous about: her famous-faced fans in the crowd. "I think it's slightly nerve-wracking [to perform in front of people I know], but it's also really exciting to be able to share with people what you've been doing and working on. It's just such a different venture for me. I'm really excited to see what they think."
From the roaring applause and even standing ovation from her mother, it's safe to say the actress didn't disappoint.
"Being able to do something like this, where you get to do all at once is kind of the perfect world for me," she smiled.
This is new iteration of the "For the Record" Luhrmann show, which includes music from the director's most recent film, "The Great Gatsby," as well as a mix of classics "Romeo + Juliet," "Moulin Rouge," and "Strictly Ballroom," runs through October 19.
"When I was a kid and I saw 'Romeo & Juliet' for the first time, everyone was just madly in love with Leonardo DiCaprio, and the music is just so fantastic," Willis noted. "Baz really kind of creates these worlds that are so kind of understandable. But, I will say, after doing this show, I've watched 'Strictly Ballroom' like three times, and it might be my new favorite. It's just so funny and over-the-top and great.""

Forget the House! Chris Brown Covers His $90K Porsche in Graffiti
"Practice makes perfect, that's what Chris Brown always says. OK, we don't know if he really says that or not, but he does seem to be pushing his artistic boundaries.
Just over a month after upset neighbors successfully forced the singer to remove graffiti monsters from the side of his Hollywood Hills home, he created a few more — this time, on his $90,000 Porsche.
While it seems Chris was fairly pleased with his artwork, his currently on-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, looked more shocked than impressed when she first discovered Brown's latest canvas.
She posted a photo on Instagram of herself perched on the hood of the luxury, cartoon-covered sports car with the caption, "this is what the f*** I come home to lmao this n**** man." In the snapshot, though, she's pouting more than laughing.
Still, a few monster cartoons on the side of a car — which was also photographed by X17online — that costs more than most people make in a year wasn't enough to deter the model from joining her beau on a romantic getaway, which it seems the singer sorely needed.
Just a few weeks ago, Brown suffered a seizure at the Record Plant recording studio in Hollywood, which his team blamed on severe stress and fatigue caused by the "constant onslaught of legal matters." No word as to whether those legal matters included The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety forcing him to paint over the "artwork" he had added to the side of his house, however.
At least Tran took the Porsche's new paint job (mostly) in stride. Both she and Chris were dressed in casual, sporty styles as they grabbed their luggage and prepared to head out of the city.
It is worth noting, however, that they left the monstermobile at home and instead departed in a more subdued black SUV. Something tells us Karrueche was pretty happy about that."

Obama does not favor changing pot laws … 'at this point'
"What are you smoking? President Barack Obama doesn't think cracking down on individual pot smokers is a good use of federal dollars, but he also doesn't think it's time to loosen the country's marijuana laws … at least "at this point." That's the message from White House spokesman Josh Earnest, who told reporters at the daily press briefing that Obama's views have been "clear and consistent for some time now." "The priority in terms of the dedication of law-enforcement resources should be targeted towards drug kingpins, drug traffickers and others who perpetrate violence in the conduct of the drug trade," and not individual users, Earnest said. But "the president does not, at this point, advocate a change in the law." Currently, the federal government lists marijuana — or, as this helpful Drug Enforcement Agency handout suggests, "Aunt Mary, BC Bud, Blunts, Boom, Chronic, Dope, Gangster, Ganja, Grass, Hash, Herb, Hydro, Indo, Joint, Kif, Mary Jane, Mota, Pot, Reefer, Sinsemila, Skunk, Smoke, Weed, and Yerba" — as a "Schedule 1" drug, alongside heroin, LSD, ecstasy, methaqualone and peyote. Those are "drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule I drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence," the DEA says. The DEA also says marijuana has "no currently accepted medical use in the United States." That puts "The Man" at odds with quite a few states and Washington, D.C. — the "laboratories of democracy." "There are 20 states that have med marijuana laws, there are 16 states that have decriminalized possession and then two states — Colorado and Washington — have legalized it," Allen St. Pierre, the executive director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), said. "The president has clearly evolved regarding a couple of different subject matters over the course of his presidency," St. Pierre told Yahoo News by telephone. That was an obvious reference to Obama's embrace of gay marriage. "We suspect that this former marijuana aficionado will, too, evolve on this subject matter as the American public has. That's what politicians do," he added. States that have taken steps to permit marijuana use and possession are "clearly putting upward political pressure on the federal government to end cannabis prohibition," St. Pierre said."
